DAY 2 Outline – THE COMING KING IS THE JUDGE OF ALL – OCTOBER, 2025 FIRST-FRUIT Prayers and Fasting

GENERAL

WATCHMAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL MOVEMENT FIRST FRUIT FASTING FELLOWSHIP (OCTOBER 2025) Day 2 https://www.wccrmlagos.org/media/2025/10/FIRST-FRUIT-OCTOBER-2025-day-2.pdf Theme: THE KING IS COMING! Texts: Ps.24:7-9; Dan.2:40-45; 7:13-14; Rev.1:7   On our first day of this fasting exercise, we exhorted on the brevity of the time of the gentiles (church age) and the triumphant advent of the Son of God, even the King of kings or the coming King.   We stated that the coming King is the Head of principalities and powers having been their Creator and superlatively positioned after His earthly humiliation (Jn.1:1-3; Phil.2:5-11).   God being a God of types and patterns: All signs are showing that His second advent is here with us, and so as there was a spiritual proclamation calling on the gates to lift up their heads at the coming of the Ark of the Covenant (Ps.24:7-9), so will it be at the time. Now aside the awaited global event, there is a special glorious visit of the coming King at this time, to give a taste of His splendor (Lk.9:27-32).   And as it is usual for a heralding proclamation to be made before a king or highly placed royal (Esth.6:8-10; Gen. 4:43), so went a proclamation for gates to lift up their heads (Ps.24:7-9).   The principalities and powers that constitute gates in places and lives are thereby summoned to lift up their heads and give access to God’s scheduled blessing.   Today, we shall be looking at   Topic:              THE COMING KING IS THE JUDGE OF ALL   Subtexts:  Gen.18:25; Jn.5:22; Acts 10:42; 1Pet.4:4,5   As in the Bible times, a judge is like a god over his subjects. He tries cases, passes judgments and metes out punishment (Lk.18:1-7). The Greek word kritēs (pronounced kree-tace) translated judge was used of God (Jas.4:12); and also of Christ (Acts 10:42; 2Tim.4:8; Jas.5:9).   We shall be looking at (A) Jesus, the Interim Judge (B) Jesus, the Final Judge (C) Inference   (A) Jesus, the Interim Judge (Jn.5:22; 9:39)   The interim judgment of Jesus is a very interesting one. For one thing- no person who makes a good plea can be left unforgiven. The good plea is considering and accepting that one is blind; knows nothing, has sinned and needs forgiveness and acquittal (Jn.9:39).   Unfortunately, many people, due to one thing or the other have refused to acknowledge that they are blind, ignorant, sinful, hence they remain in their sin, blindness, ignorance and all things associated with them (Jn.9:41).   What do we learn from this?   Simply this:- let everyone yield today, tomorrow and at all times to the interim judgment of the Lord through His word and Spirit, as we listen to the sermons, teachings, counseling from His servants, and as we listen and agree with the Spirit of God as He convicts us of any errors, sins, foolishness. Let us plead guilty whenever we are convicted through any of the revealed means. As we so do, we remain continuously justified on our way to a blissful eternity.
  • Jesus, the Final Judge (Jn.5:22; Acts 17:31; Rom.2:16; 14:10; 1Cor.4:5; 2cor.5:10; 2Tim.4:1)
The final judgment of the Lord Jesus, unlike the interim judgment is not as liberal as His interim judgment. The reason – (i) no pleas will be taken (ii) it will be laden with sorrows.   Whether it be His judgment of believers for reward (1Cor.4:5; 2Cor.5:10), or the judgment of all sinners (Acts 17:31; Rom.2:16; 14:10; 2Tim.4:1), no please will be taken. The standards had been stated and preached in the world and the decisions to reward or not reward, to cast into hell fire or receive into heaven had been taken before the time of the judgment (cons. Jn.12:48; 1Cor.3:11-15; Matt.25:31-46).   What is the Inference?   The inference is that all should judge themselves (1Cor.11:31) and submit to the interim judgment of the Lord (Jn.9:39-41), so as to avoid the judgment where no pleas will be taken.   From another perspective, His word (either directly spoken by Him or by the inspiration of the Holy spirit upon His disciples) stands as the verdict of the Most High on any issue (Lk.10:19; 12:2,30-32, Jn.12:48; 19:30; 1Cor.4:20; Gal.3:13,14; 1Pet.2:24; 3Jn.2).   Therefore, no gate has any option than to submit to the verdict. He is the final Arbiter (a person who settles disputes and has ultimate authority in a matter) (Rev.3:7; Matt.28:18,20).   Let’s rise to state His word to all gates in our lives and circumstances, so that all can step into their divine destines.
