The destiny of every person is determined by which of the forces the one leaned to. Those that lean to the forces of darkness get paid according to their works and those that incline to the forces of light are likewise rewarded. As every kingdom has laws (rules and regulations that guide life therein), so does the kingdom of light. And to succeed in any kingdom, the rules/principles must be adhered to. The battle between the forces of good and evil is a predetermined one and so-called “good” fight by enlightened saints of old, as it is always destined to favour the kingdom of light. (Cons. Pro.14:19; 1Tim.6:12; 2Tim.4:7). Only ignorance is the undoing of the righteous (Hos.4:6; cp. Pro.24:4,5; Jn.8:32). Our message shall come under the following points (A) Bulwark Identified (B) Bulwark Destroyed. (A)       BULWARK IDENTIFIED  A bulwark is a defensive wall or rampart (a defensive mound of earth, or a wall with a broad top and usually a stone parapet, a defensive structure). So then a bulwark is that structure that defends against intrusion or invasion. One of the glories of a city is its walls. (Impliedly Pro.25:28). Be informed that as formidable walls were built around Jericho by the inhabitants, which stood as a barrier to prevent the Israelites from accessing and amassing the resources that the Lord promised them, so do devils constitute or build obstacles to prevent men (including God’s children) from enjoying the blessings of God meant for them (cons. Gen.15:1-5,7,13-16,18-21; Num.13:28; 14:9; Jos.6:1-4, 15-21). These blessings of God meant for them may have to do with their Spiritual lives viz Salvation, Holiness experience, Spirit baptism and Spiritual elevation in service, etc (cons. Eph.1:3-4), Physical lives i.e. good health, growth, development of the body, etc (2Cor.8:9; 3Jn2), Material lives like finances, properties, businesses (Deut.28:2-6,11; Ps.111:6; Mal.3:10-12;3Jn.2), Career like academics, profession (cons. Deut.28:7,8,13), Matrimonial lives like harmony in the home, fruitfulness, companionship (getting married) etc (cons. Deut.28:4; Ps.92:14; 127:3, Pro.18:22). These promises of the scriptures seem elusive to many people because they are ignorant of the enemy’s bulwark raised against the blessings to prevent access and acquisition of the fortune. Many of the bulwarks are the result of the existence of active curses. Some curses are the result of the retributive activities of ancestors like the practice of sorcery, idolatry, ritual killing, kidnaping, etc. (Cons. Exo.20:5, Ezek.18:1-4). NB: Retribution is punishment inflicted in the spirit of moral outrage or personal vengeance. Some curses are due to the activities of diabolical people encountered in life (cons. Isa.8:19; Mic.5:12; e.g. Acts 8:9). Some are as a result of negative parental pronouncement or offended minister’s declaration (cons. Gen. 49:3-7; Jos.6:26; cp.1Kgs.16:34; 2Kgs.2:23,24; ct Pro.26:2). Some are the retributions of personal crimes (e.g. Judg.1:5-7)  (B)       BULWARK DESTROYED (Jos.6:20; 2Cor.10:3,4) It must be understood that though this demonic mesmerization is, the Lord Jesus has paid completely for all the wickedness that we had committed, and all the blessings that we need. (Cons. Isa.53:4,5; Gal.3:13-14). If anybody, therefore, has observed the siege i.e. the persistent denial of God’s blessings in his life, let him use the weapons of warfare made available to the believer to destroy the bulwark (2Cor.10;3-5) which include:- I)       Quoting the word i.e. declaring it in faith (Jer.23:29; Matt.16:19). ii)       Fasting and prayer (Isa.58:6-12; Matt.17:19-21; Mk.11:24). iii)       Rendering high praises to God (Jos.6:12-13; Ps.149:6). iv)     Corporate prayers (Matt.18:19; Mk.11:23,24). v)      Sacrificial seed sowing or sacrificial giving (cons. Gen.22:11-18; 1Kgs.18:30-38; 2Kgs.3:26-27). Let’s rise to destroy the bulwarks of darkness.                                                                                         HSCF 138
