Topic: PROSPERING THROUGH PROPHETIC DECLARATION (Part 2)

INTRODUCTION:
In the first part of this message, we defined prophetic declaration as ‘
The content of the word spoken under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit’. We saw that while the Lord does occasionally use apparently unqualified vessels (eg. backsliders, unsaved religious people, outright sinners etc), His way is to use sanctified vessels who have integrity (Rom.12:1-2, 2Tim.2:19-21).
It was also shown that the
Power in prophecy is based on the fact that true prophecy is the word of the King of kings (Eccl.8:4, Heb.4:12). And all were enjoined to
plough with prophetic declarations by laying hold on the declarations of the man of God (GS) and his sanctified under pastors (Isa.44:24,26).
Today, we shall consider the following:

Aberration is an optical phenomenon resulting from the failure of a lens or mirror to produce a good image; distortion; deviant. The false prophecy has to do with
the content of an utterance or message that is purported to have proceeded from God but which never originated from Him (Matt.24:4,5,11, 1Tim.4:1-2)
It may be a blatant lie; or factual and come into effect or get realized (Deut.13:1-3, 1Kgs.22:1-13, Acts 16:16-19, 2Thess.2:9-11, Rev.13:11-14).
It should be noted that false prophecy can even emanate from one that belongs to the kingdom who has not been properly refined (Hence 1Cor.14:29-33, 11:12-18). And it can also be the product of the misunderstanding of received information (Hos.4:6; 2Thess.2:1-4).
False prophecies are majorly gendered by the devil to accomplish his nefarious purpose (Jn.10:10)
Red flag of false prophecy: when the following are observed, then the message is of the false prophecy order: Plain lies/falsehood; wresting of scriptures or false doctrines to mislead; opposition of the truth of the scriptures; undue magnification of creature instead of the Creator (Num.23:19, Deut.18:20-22; Ps.12:6, Isa.8:20; 42:8, 48:11; Rom.1:25).
It is therefore imperative that the child of God treads with caution at this time of distress, when “revelations” and “prophecies” are flying around every social media platform (Eph.4:14, 2Pt.2:1-3, 1Jn.4:1); to save himself and others (Matt. 15:14, Phil.2:12,15-16, 1Tim.4:15)
- THE ASCENDANCY OF TRUE PROPHECY
Truth is known for its durability as it neither depreciates with time nor changes.
The declarations from God proceeded from an all-knowing Being Who dwells in eternity; declaring the end from the beginning (Isa.46:9-10, 45:21). In the interim, the manifestation of the declaration may seem delayed but it will always ultimately speak (Habk.2:2-3, Matt.24:35). The believer must not be moved by the interim comments of the ignorant – be it unbelievers or carnal believers, for the Lord will always confirm His word at the appropriate time (2Pt.3:3-8, Gal.4:4, Eccl.3:1-4,11).
The child of God must also be aware that there are divine prophecies that are conditional, whose fulfilment is tied to the conditionalities (Jn.3:1-10, Isa.38:1-5, 1Kgs.21:18-29). Because of the source of true prophecies, those that receive them ought not to fear or make haste if circumstances seem unfavourable (Isa.28:16). It is therefore time to hold unto the declarations from the pulpit of many colours to prosper (2Chro.20:20b).
Let’s make our wars with the prophetic utterances available to us.
