We  proceeded  to  expose  the  ‘PrivilegesofPurity’viz:  Access  to  God’s  Presence and Properties; Authority over Powers of Darkness; Acuity of Spiritual Discernment; Assurance and Audacity; Attraction of God;s Attention; Advertisement in the Field of Service; and Assured Entry into Glory. We shall conclude the month’s FirstFruitsFastingFellowshipwith: Topic: UNLEASHING THE POWER IN PURITY Subtexts: Acts 10:38; Heb.1:8,9 Having established the fact that purity attracts God’s holy presence and by extension power, it must be understood that if the attracting state is adulterated, the holy presence of the Lord will responsively depart (Gen.6:3; Isa.59:1-2; Ezek.10:18; 11:21-23; 2Cor.6:14-17). When  purity/holiness  is  maintained,  divine  guidance is natural,  as  a pure heart yields to the promptings and whispers of the still small voice by which the saint is led  by  the  Holy  Spirit.  (Ps.23:1-4; 73:23-26;  Jn.14:24;  16:7,12-13,15;  Acts 16:6- 9;  Rom.8:14).  The  Holy  Spirit  carries  and  dispenses  God’s  power  to  enable  the disciple lead a fruitful and prosperous service based-life (Rom.8:11; Jn.15:16). The early church optimized His service as they gave Him His due position in their lives and ministries (Mk.10:28; Acts 2:1-2,42-44; 4:32-34; Gal.2:20; Phil.1:21; Col.3:1-5; 2Thess.4:1; 2Tim.4:1-7). The Lord Jesus, the Epitome of humility and meekness led a life of submission to the guidance of the Holy Spirit (Matt.4:1; Jn.7:1-14; 8:1-11; 11:1-11; 19:28) and serves as a Model to every disciple that seeks to be used by God (Jn.20:21). An exploration of the earthly life of Jesus reveals a pattern which the pioneer disciples acknowledged and appropriated, to enjoy a fruitful power packed service.     Jesus was a Man of Prayers (Mk.1:35; Lk.6:12; 11:1; 18:1-3) Scriptural  prayers-communion  with  God,  increases  awareness  of  God  and  boosts faith. Effective prayers release divine power (Jas.5:16). The early church followed suit and reaped likewise (Acts. 12:5; 6:4). Jesus led a Fasted Life (Matt.6:16-18; 17:21; Jn.4:5-8) Fasting  has  the  capacity  to  build  up  spiritual  energy  through  subjugation  of  the flesh (Gal.5:17). A fasted life does not necessarily mean a permanently ascetic life but rather a spirit-led life where the body is brought under control, and the Spirit of God directs the feeding: to eat only when necessary (Gal.5:23; 1Cor.9:27; 6:13;  Eccl.10:16;  Cp.Matt.11:19).  It  is  a key  to  sustained  spiritual  strength  and power. The apostles understood this and followed suit (Acts 10:9-17; 13:1-2; 2Cor.11:27-28). Jesus Read the Word  (Jn.10:34) Though He was the Word of God before manifesting as a mortal Man. Yet He esteemed  the  word  highly,  read  and  applied  it  (Lk.2:46,47;  4:16-22; Matt.26:52- 56). The early church put premium on the word and on prayers and enjoyed the dividends (Acts 6:4; 2Tim.4:13). Jesus was a Man of Faith (Lk.9:58; Jn.11:6-10; Acts 10:38) Faith  has  the  capacity  to  draw  unlimited  Power  from  God.  The  measure  of  faith exercised is a function of the divine power manifested; yet little faith does much. (Matt.8:5-13; 15:21-23; cp. Matt.17:20). The only stumbling blocks to the manifestation of faith are: unbelief and sin in the life of the object (cons. Mk.6:4-6; Isa.59:1-2). Howbeit, the Lord Jesus did heal sinners but instructed them to refrain from sin lest they lose the miracle (Jn.5:14). The early church that understood the alignment of purity and power followed the footsteps  of  Jesus,  rebuked  adulteration  (Acts  5:1-11;  8:20-24)  and  enjoyed  the unlimited manifestation of power (Acts 5:14-15, 17-21; 8:5-7, 26-39; 9:32-40, etc). Today, if we follow their footsteps, the unchangeable God will do likewise, power that goes with shall subsequently follow. The  vessels  of  God  must  be  given  to  a fasted  life  of  prayers,  studying  the  word and scriptural meditation to build intimacy and the accompanying faith in the Almighty (Mal.3:6; Heb.13:8). We shall call upon the Lord in prayer, and He will answer by fire.
