WATCHMAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL MOVEMENT 21 Days FIRST FRUIT FASTING FELLOWSHIP 2026 (Premium Edition) (Day3)   THEME: REAPING IN RIGHTTEOUSNESS AND DIVINE REMEMBRANCE Topic: HONESTY, A CRITERION FOR HEAVENLY ACCEPTANCE Text:    Psalm 15: 1-5 Introduction:
Our text clearly shows that honesty is a major criterion for acceptance into the kingdom of God, meaning that whoever misses it has no chance of making heaven. We will consider the message under the following: (1) Honesty defined/ explained, (2) Honesty Demanded and (3) Our response
  1. Honesty Defined/ Explained:
Honesty is the quality of being honest – free of deceit, truthful (not lying or cheating), and sincere. It means both speaking and acting truthfully. An honest person is a sincere person – one without pretense, deceit, or hypocrisy. From our text, we see the characteristics of honesty as:   Being plain – walking with integrity and righteousness (Psalm 15:2)   Being truthful – devoid of deceit and hypocrisy (Psalm 15:2-3)   Walking the talk – living in integrity and doing no harm to others (Psalm 15:3-5)   Having God’s kind of values – honouring those God honours and despising vile persons (Psalm 15:4-5)   Honesty is integral in worshiping God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). It means being genuine in words, acts and conduct, walking uprightly, working righteously and speaking the truth in the heart. (Psalm 15:2).
  1. Honesty Demanded John 4:24
God demands and commands that we worship Him in honesty, sincerity and truth. (Josh. 24:14; Psalm 51:6a; Josh. 24:14; 1Sam. 12:24). This is the only form of worship acceptable to God. (Psalm 15:2; John 4:24). It follows therefore that any worship (service) that is not rooted in sincerity and truth is unacceptable to God as that amounts to religious noise or stage performance.   Unfortunately, men have neglected this weightier matter and pursued vain worship, calling upon the Holy God with unholy hands. They wear “Christianity” like clothes and perform as actors/ actresses but off the stage they are ravening wolves – church worker and gospel minister (so called) inclusive.     This accounts for the prevalence of dishonesty, frauds, deceits, sexual immorality and cheatings in businesses, academia, marriages and personal relationships among professing Christians and Bible carriers (Matt. 7:15-23). But God‟s standard is sure and cannot change which standard is “let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity” 2Tim. 2:19.
  1. Our response
Fasting period is a time to take stock and confirm one‟s standing with God. (2 Cor. 13:5). It is evident that this is a period of special divine interventions/   miracles. (Matt. 17:21). But God is principled and His blessings are attached to His word. (Matt. 6:33). Besides, what miracle will be greater than the assurance that one‟s name is in the book of life.   God expects us to look inwards, „purge ourselves of these things‟ in order to have access to His abundant blessings, mercies, healings, etc during this special period and always. (2Tim. 2:21; Isa. 58:6,7; 59:1-2; James 4:7-8). But one must sincere to himself.   God‟s resources are inexhaustible. It is time for the deluge of His blessings for the obedient. Isa 1:19.   Let us pray.   Scriptures to pray: Isa. 58:8,9; Josh. 24:11-13.
