WATCHMAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL MOVEMENT
FIRST FRUIT FASTING FELLOWSHIP 2025 (NOVEMBER EDITION) Day 1
Theme: THE KING IS COMING
Texts: Ps. 24:7-9; Dan.2:40-45; 7:13-14; Rev.1:7
As we come to the penultimate month of the year loaded with challenges and garnished with grace, we cannot but spend some quality time to appreciate and adore the Lord for His supplies, support and sustenance (Ps.103:1-5, 13-14; 98:1-9; 96:1-9).
In the first edition of our theme, we unveiled the coming King and His glory that will be revealed as He subdues all human governments (Dan.2:43-45; Zech.14:17 -19). The glorious status was earned after His unassailable sacrifice at Calvary (Matt.28:18; Phil.2:8-10).
It is with this glory that He visits His people, to attend to their matters (Matt.28:30).
We commenced the analysis of the Person of the coming King, seeing Him as
The Head of principalities and powers, The Judge of all, and The Captain of the Host of God.
In this edition, we shall be unveiling the coming King as
- The Word of God Personified
- The Son of the Living God
- The Wonderful One
Topic: THE COMING KING IS THE WORD OF GOD PERSONIFIED
Subtexts: Jn.1:9-11; 5:1-7; Rev.19:11-13,16
Before creation, God’s Word although within Him, was also a separate Spirit-Being or Person, dwelling as a distinct Person with God (Jn. 1:1 -2). It was through this word as described that all things were created (Jn. 1:3; 2 Pet. 3:5).
Much later, in the course of the world, long after the fall of man, this same God’s Word in the form of a separate Spirit-Being was further incarnated (translated) into a human-being, and named Jesus (Jn. 1:14; Matt. 1:18-23; Isa. 7:14).
It was this knowledge that led apostle Paul to declare to the Colossians,
“for by Him (Jesus, the Word of God) were all things created; that are in heaven and that are in earth; visible and invisible; whether they be thrones, dominions, principalities or powers, all things were created by (through) Him “ (Col. 1:16). Not only this, it was the same knowledge that Jesus is God’s word that prompted Jesus Himself to declare that if any person did not eat Him (that is, did not receive and assimilate His word), that person has no life in Him (Jn. 6:48 -56). Besides, it was also because of this truth that Jesus asserted, “I and my Father are one” (Jn. 10:30). The Word of God is Christ’s principal identity in heaven as He commands the armies of heaven (Rev. 19:11-13).
WHAT IS THE IMPLICATION OR THE INFERENCE?
The inference is that, if we receive, obey, honour the word of Jesus, we have automatically received, obeyed and honoured God (cons. John 5:23; 13:20; Matt. 10:40). If we honour Jesus, we have automatically honoured God. If we believe in Jesus, we have automatically believed in God. Conversely, if we reject Jesus or His word; we have automatically rejected God and His word.
Again, whatever promises God has given, they are as sure as the guarantee of the coming King (Matt. 24:35; Isa. 55:11; Num. 23:19).
