In our last First Fruit Fasting Exercise titled
‘The Generation of the Golden Ones’, we informed all that the Omniscient God had predetermined to raise a group of persons that are tall, strong and beautiful at the time that the world will be awashed with escalating wickedness. This group of people will be the awaited glorious church that possess 3 chief characteristics amongst others: a
golden vision,
golden hearts and
golden tongues (Eph.5:25; Rom.8:19).
Such golden people were divinely primed to tread upon the high places at such a time (Isa.46:10; Acts 15:18; Rom.8:28,29).
Our texts reveal the glory of the church in the wilderness whom the Lord caused to walk/ride on the high places of the earth, a metaphor of the ease with which they overcame the opposition and conquered/possessed the land, as they were sin-free (Deut.32:12). And in Isa.58:14, the Lord promised to make the Old Testament Israel ride upon the high places of the earth, should they fast aright and live aright – delighting in the Lord. Ephesians 2:6 informs of the divine placement of believers in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.
At this time of Restoration, Jubilation, and Praise, the Lord would have us carry out a positional awareness campaign: sensitizing participants to their divine placement and supporting them to engage in the earthly purpose for which the placement was made (Isa.28:9; 49:5; Jer.1:4,5).
The Hebrew word translated ‘
tread’’ was
dârak (pronounced
daw-rak), which means ‘to tread’, by implication ‘to walk’; to step, to trample so as to press, crush, or injure something. It often means ‘stepping with force’. So our theme has to do with the manner, operations, etc. of those who live in the spiritual high places: their awareness and activities/operationality.
Our message shall come under the following subsections:
- The Awareness of the Treaders Upon the High Places
- The Activities of Highlanders
- The Availability of Anointing and Power for End-time Highflyers
Topic: THE AWARENESS OF TREADERS UPON THE HIGH PLACES
Subtexts: Deut.4:32-40; LK.10::20-24
Awareness
is knowledge or perception of a situation, fact, recognition, or consciousness.
From our subtexts: Moses asserted that the Lord God manifested in a superlatively uncommon manner in both Egypt and the wilderness to leave an indelible impression in the minds of the Israelites, touting His Sovereignty. The Lord Jesus admired His disciples’ exposure to spiritual privileges that Old Testament prophets strongly yearned for but could not get. The unique exposure to sights and sounds birthed awareness: the awareness that carried them in their ministries unto martyrdom (2Pet.1:12-17). On recognizing the Messiah, John the Baptist did not hesitate to proclaim Him without thinking that he could lose followership (cons.Jn.1:29-31; 3:25-30). That is a great awareness.
Awareness of truth makes one formidably firm and stable in pursuing the truth-related purpose.
The prophetic song of Moses showed how the Almighty took the Israelites from zero to hero after revealing Himself to them. For as long as there was no sin in them, no challenge was not subjugated (cons.Deut.32:1-14; 4:4-8). This awareness made them obey apparently ‘unreasonable’ instructions as they possessed the Promised Land and preserved their existentialism (Jos.6:1-20; Judg.7:15-21).
In the New Testament, Israel must likewise be aware of who God is to him and where God has placed him. He is favorably
seated in Jesus far above all principalities and powers (Eph.2:5-6; 1:16-21). He is positioned to be in charge (Eph.1:22).
His life is secured inside Christ, Who is inside God, so there is a double layer of divine protection around the believer (Col.3:3). He is
an agent of awe to angelic beings: principalities and powers (Eph.3:9-10).
This awareness will make the believer delight more in God, and delighting in Him yields the privilege of sharing His advantages (Jn.8:29; 2Pet.1:2-4).
The believer is
seated in a position of power and influence and should not be successfully oppressed but rather capable of subduing oppressors (Pro.16:7; Ps.18:29,40; 23:4; Isa.54:14-17; Matt.28:19,20; Lk.10:19; Jn.20:21; 2Cor.10:4-5).
The treaders upon the high places are aware that their opponents have already been defeated by the Lord (Cons. Rom.8:37; Deut.33:25-27; Jn.19:30; Col.2:15).
They know that they were divinely apprehended for a divine purpose, which they probe and passionately pursue in their daily activities (Phil.3:13-14; 1:21).
