Â
Following the LEAP Declarations, the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement (and her friends) were launched into the 3
rd phase of her Elijah-like calling. And with the progression of time, the momentum of her operations is ever-increasing.
The Arrival of the August Anointing marked the remarkable acceleration of the tempo of operations in the ministry (SofS.2:11-13).
The Bishop and Shepherd of our souls would have us know of the necessity of growth so that the revival fire will not assuage (ct.Jer.8:20).
Our message has to do with understanding the concept of growing in glory and working towards ultimate glory. The Apostle in 2 Cor.3 posited that if the Old Testament which he described as the ministration of death was glorious, the New Testament is much more. He considered the veiling of Moses’ face as a metaphor for the hindrance to the perception of spiritual realities in the Old Covenant (Exo.34:28-30; 2 Cor.3:13-15). He had stated that that glorious Old Covenant has been done away with, and so the new is much more glorious (2 Cor.3:7-10).
Then describing the New Testament’s phenomenal glorious perfection, the apostle stated in 2 Cor.3:18:
“But we all (believers), with open (unveiled) face beholding as in a glass (mirror) the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
Â
Then about half a decade later, writing to the Colossian believers, the apostle told them of his divine assignment of unveiling a mystery to the erstwhile hopeless people of other nations (gentiles), which has to do with Christ in them, the hope of glory. (Col.1:25-27)
The message shall come under the following sub-sections:
Day 1: Teeming With Glory
Day 2: Tacit Track To Superlative Splendor
Day 3: The Triumphant in Glory
Topic: TEEMING WITH GLORY
Subtexts: Jn.1:3-5, 10-14; Rom.8:14,19
“Teeming” means
completely full of something.
Anytime something is filled with life, it is said to be teeming with it.
What is glory?
Glory was translated from the Greek word
“doxa” which has a very wide range of applications. Doxa primarily signifies
an opinion, estimate and hence the honour resulting from a good opinion. It is used of nature and acts of God in self-manifestation viz divine expressions. It is also used for
the character and ways of God as exhibited through Christ to and through believers (2 Cor.3:18; 4:6).
Other applications include
the state of blessedness awaiting the believers hereafter (Rom.8:18,21; Phil.3:21; Rev.21:11);
Brightness or splendour of God (Lk.2:4),
Christ’s return (Tit.2:13),
Brightness of heavenly bodies (1Cor.15:40,41);
good reputation, praise, honour, worship (Lk.14:10; 2 Cor.6:8).
So our topic has to do with having a glory-filled life, and or a congregation of glory-filled people.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the
Model that all should emulate (Matt.11:29; Lk.6:40; Jn.13:13,14; cp. 1 Cor.11:1; 4:16,17).
A glory-filled life is
devoid of the antithesis of life: sin (Isa.59:1-2; Ezek.18:4,20; Habk.1:13; 1Jn.3:5,6,9,10); but
adorned with the fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22-24; Eph.5:8-11) and
the gifts of the Holy Ghost (1Cor.12:4-11)
The central theme of such lives (individually or corporately) is
love as Christ had it (Jn.13:34,35; 14:15,21,23; 15:13; 1Jn.3:16).
Love is the missing link of the present church as it is the ligament of completeness (Col.3:14; cp.1Jn.2:5-10).
Love being the inherent nature of God births the glory of God whenever present (1Jn.4:8,16).
A congregation of loving people is a place of divine glory, where no opposition lingers, no oppression lasts and uncommon opportunities lurk around all corners.
It is a community of saved and sanctified persons. It is the expectation of the end-time militant church of the First Born.
