WATCHMAN CATHOLIC CHARISMATIC RENEWAL MOVEMENT
FIRST FRUIT FASTING FOR MARCH 2021 Day 3
Theme: IDYLLIC ERA OF CONCEPTION AND PARTURITION (MARCH CONVOCATION)
Topic: THE TREASURY OF THE TRAILBLAZER
I wish to remind all that the first fruit fasting principle states that when one gives GOD the FIRST, He will take care of the REST (Prov.3:9,10).
In the first two days of the exercise, we considered (i) Thorns and Thistles in the Untreated tongue (ii) The Treasure Of The Treated Tongue.
Today, we are considering the main message: The Treasury Of The Trailblazer.
Texts: Deut.5:30-33, Jos.1:3-9
The Lord commanded Moses to tell the Israelites the things that they must do when they enter the promised land so that they may live, and have well-being and enjoy longevity. And Joshua who was to lead the people into the promised land was commanded to be strong and of good courage, and be addicted to consuming the word of God.
Our message shall come under 2 points (A) The trailblazer Described (B) The Treasury Of The Trailblazer
(A) THE TRAILBLAZER, DESCRIBED
A trailblazer is someone who opens up a route in an unsettled country or wilderness for others to follow. Such are pioneers or leaders in an endeavour. When introduced in a program, they are game-changers and barrier breakers.
Abram was a trailblazer (Gen.12:1-5; 18:19; Heb.11:13)
Joshua was a game-changer and barrier breaker (Josh. 1:5-6,9).
Paul and the apostles were trailblazers (Acts 15:26; Rom.16:5). They moved from place to place disseminating the truth: leaving a legacy for others to follow (Phil.1:12-14)
The Watchmen are likewise called to lead others through the challenges (wilderness) of the end time (Isa.49:5-6).
The sole sponsorship of the IGMC amidst the lack of a conducive place of worship serves as a model for emulation.
(B) TREASURY OF THE TRAILBLAZER
A treasury is a depository ( a room or building) where wealth and precious objects are kept; a place in which stores of wealth are kept. From the time of the exodus when written documents were kept, the people of God were pointed to the written documents so as to have life (Deut.5:30-33, Jos.1:8; Ps.1:1-5). And the pioneers of the great faith showed outstanding commitment to ingesting the word as demonstrated in their reaction/responses to the prevailing circumstances (Acts 1:19-21; 2:14-21, 25-31,34; 4:25; 7:1-52).
The Holy Scriptures (divinely packaged for mankind) serve as an irreplaceable treasury to the wayfaring pilgrim; and any neglect of its existence is a mistake too costly to make (Deut.11:18-23; Ps.119:9-11.18-19,105,125; Rom15:4; 2Tim.3:15,16).
The package is loaded with prescriptions, instructions, regulations, commandments, promises, etc by which one leads a victorious life (Eph.6:12,16-17).
NB: It is when there is knowledge of the truth that liberty can be enjoyed (Jn.8:32).
– It is also required that when the heart has received the truth, the tongue should voice it out to enjoy salvation (Rom.10:10; Heb.11:13).
– When a refined tongue is loaded with God’s word, nothing shall be impossible with the individual, and no devil stands a chance against such (Lk.4:1-10; Heb.4:12)
Trailblazers put a value on the written word and show commitment to the content therein, and confess the applicable truth and refuse to contaminate their tongue with negative things (1Pet.3:10).
Such employ esoteric language – a language of the initiated in the kingdom of God.
