COMBINATION THERAPY

FIRST FRUIT FASTING

Subtitle:  COMBINATION THERAPY Text:       2Chr. 26:11-15   In Therapeutics (branch of medicine concerned with the treatment of diseases), there is a recommendation for the use of multiple drugs/medications that have different modes of operation (mechanism of action) to treat stubborn infections or disease conditions. It is said to increase treatment efficacy, prevent drug resistance and reduce the duration of treatment. The principle is like attacking the enemy from different angles at the same time.   In warfare, the same principle is applied. There is the use of airpower, ground force, and navy to pummel enemies to submission. King Uzziah, in addition to the use of soldiers with spears, swords, bows, and habergeons, employed machines that throw rocks and shoot arrows at the enemies. This readily neutralized the enemies and brought him fame. (2Chro.26:15).   This month, we shall deploy all weapons of warfare within our reach like prayer, fasting, praise/worship, preaching, giving etc. (Isa.58:5-12, Mk.9:28-29, 2Cor.9:6-8; Eph.6:10-12,15,18).   Let us, therefore, start this night with praise and prayer (under the endorsement of the first fruit fast) and continue the rest of the month sowing seeds of various kinds.   Applying these acts of righteousness simultaneously will amount to taking the kingdom by force (Matt.11:12).   Let’s rise to pray.
